The count was closed on the tablet and some lines were not filed
If the tablet finishes a shared count while a phone is offline, the phone keeps its unsent lines and lets you file them as a count of their own.

What you see
On a phone
After reconnecting, the NOPI app says “count was closed on the tablet, N lines not filed” and offers to keep those lines.
On the tablet
The count shows a closed on hub badge and a message ending “Your lines are safe on this tablet”, with a File as a regular count button. You may also see Count submitted: “This live count was submitted from another device.”
Why
Someone tapped Save & Send, or cancelled the count, while your device was offline with lines still waiting to send.
Lines for a closed count are refused on purpose. Quietly adding them after the review would change a count someone has already signed off.
A shared count also closes by itself if nobody touches it for 24 hours.
Nothing is lost
Your lines are still on your device. You decide what happens to them.
What to do on a phone
- Think back. Did the tablet already have your numbers? You would have seen them on its screen before it finished.
- If it did, discard the queued lines.
- If it did not, choose Keep as a regular count. The phone files those lines as a count of their own for a manager to review.
Alternatively, ask the person on the tablet to start a new live count, and join it again.
What to do on the tablet
- Check whether the lines on the tablet were already part of the count that was sent.
- If they were not, tap File as a regular count. The lines are filed as a count of their own.
How to avoid it
Before you tap Save & Send on the tablet, check everyone has finished. If a phone has been quiet for over 5 minutes, the tablet warns you with Devices gone quiet. If those people are still counting, wait for them.
If the tablet is clearly still counting
If a phone shows this message while the tablet is still counting the same place, the phone is probably on a different outlet. See Join live count shows nothing.
