The Circona connection
Connect the tablet to Circona ERP with an API key or a sign-in, and counts post as stocktaking adjustments per warehouse.
DraftNot yet checked step by step against the running app. Labels may differ slightly.
What it is for
Use this connection when Circona ERP owns your site’s stock. Counts post to Circona as stocktaking adjustments per warehouse, with one adjustment for each product whose count differs from the books.
Two ways to connect
- API key. This is kiosk mode, and it is recommended for a shared tablet. Nobody’s personal sign-in is stored on the device.
- Sign in. Use your own Circona email and password.
Connect with an API key
- Get an API key from Circona. Circona keys start with
ck_live_. - On the tablet, open Connections from the menu.
- On the Circona ERP card, leave API base URL as it is unless you have been given another.
- Tap API key.
- Enter the key in the API key field.
- Tap Connect.
Connect by signing in
- On the Circona ERP card, tap Sign in.
- Enter your Email and Password.
- If your account uses two-factor sign-in, enter the code in 2FA code (if enabled).
- Tap Connect.
If you see “Two-factor code required — enter it and try again”, enter the code and tap Connect again.
When it works
You see “Connected to Circona”, and the card shows a connected badge. If you see “Could not connect to Circona”, check the key or your sign-in details and the internet connection, then try again.
It is per device
The key or sign-in is stored on this tablet only. Connect each tablet separately.
Make Circona the ledger
If Circona is the first system you connect, counts are filed there automatically. Otherwise:
- Open Connections.
- On the Counts file to card, tap Circona.
A count is filed exactly once, to the system that owns this venue’s stock. See Where counts go.
Weighing with Circona
Circona does not hold bottle weights. They come through your NOPI or Swift Inventory account, and the app looks them up by barcode when you weigh. A tablet connected only to Circona can count, but cannot weigh. To weigh, also link the tablet to your account: see The NOPI connection.
