The NOPI connection

NOPI is the gateway for your venue's stations, products, bottle weights and weigh-in submissions, and you connect to it by QR with no keys to type.

DraftNot yet checked step by step against the running app. Labels may differ slightly.

What it is for

The NOPI connection carries everything the tablet needs to know about your venue:

  • your stations and storage, which become the places you count,
  • your product lists, which become count sheets,
  • the product registry: barcodes, bottle weights and density,
  • the bottle weights you file.

For NOPI venues it is also the stock ledger, so counts are filed into NOPI and shared with your venue’s NOPI phones.

A Swift Inventory account is a NOPI account. There is no separate registration.

Connect

The usual way is by QR, with nothing to type.

  1. Open Connections from the menu.
  2. On the NOPI card, tap Pair / sign in (Profile).
  3. Tap Scan from NOPI app.
  4. In NOPI on your phone, open Profile and show the QR code, then point the tablet’s camera at it.

Full steps, including first launch, are in Link a tablet by QR from NOPI.

Sign in with a password instead

On the same Sign in with NOPI card you can enter:

  • Server – leave the value that is already filled in
  • Email
  • Password
  • 2FA code (if enabled)

Then tap Sign in. If you see “Signed in, but this account has no venues yet — create one in NOPI first”, create a venue in NOPI and sign in again.

Once connected

The NOPI card in Connections shows your venue’s name, and the button changes to Manage in Profile.

Profile shows:

  • your name and email, with a NOPI account badge,
  • Linked to followed by your venue, when the tablet was linked by QR and has its own key,
  • Active venue, when you signed in with a password. Tap a venue in the list to switch outlet.
  • Synced from NOPI, a reminder of what comes from your account.

It is per device

Each tablet has its own connection and, when linked by QR, its own key for one outlet. Linking one tablet does not link another. To move a linked tablet to another outlet, link it again from a phone that is on that outlet.
