Stations and warehouses

Stations and storage are the places you count, and the tablet shows them exactly as they are set up in your venue's account.

DraftNot yet checked step by step against the running app. Labels may differ slightly.

What they are

A count is always a count of one place.

  • A station is where stock is used, such as a bar or a kitchen.
  • A warehouse (shown as Storage on the tablet) is where stock is kept, such as a cellar or a store room.

The difference matters when you review a count. Nothing is sold out of a warehouse, so a difference there is real. A station sells its stock all day. See Review variance after a count.

Where to find them

Open Stations & storage from the menu. The page shows where stock is used, where it is kept, and which store supplies which station.

  • Under Stations you see each station with its type and product count, and which store it is supplied by.
  • Under Storage you see each store with its type and code, and which stations it supplies. A store may carry a deliveries land here badge, or a badge such as 3 low when products are running low.

Tap a station or store to count it. This starts the same count as Start a count on the Counts page.

Adding or changing them

The page is read-only on the tablet. Stations and storage come from your venue’s account.

  1. Open the NOPI app.
  2. Add or edit your places under Stations and Warehouses.
  3. Add the products each place stocks.
  4. Open Stations & storage on the tablet again. The changes appear the next time you open the page.

Messages you may see

  • Not connected yet – “Stations and storage come from your venue’s account. Set up this tablet on the Counts page first.” See Link a tablet by QR from NOPI.
  • No stations or storage yet – “Add them in the NOPI app (Stations, Warehouses). They appear here the next time you open this page.”

Good to know

  • Counting needs at least one station or warehouse with products.
  • A count takes a snapshot of the place’s product list when you start. If a product is missing from the sheet, add it to the station first, then start a new count.

Next: Take a stock count.
