Unlink a tablet or sign out

You can unlink a tablet from the tablet itself by signing out, or remotely by switching off its key in NOPI.

DraftNot yet checked step by step against the running app. Labels may differ slightly.

  • On the tablet: sign out from Profile. Use this when you have the tablet in your hands.
  • From NOPI: switch off the tablet’s key. Use this when the tablet is lost, or you cannot reach it.

Before you sign out

Signing out removes the venue’s data from the tablet:

  • the count archive,
  • any queued bottle weights,
  • any unsent counts. These are lost.

Send queued counts first. Open Counts, get online, and check nothing is left as queued under In progress. See Offline and queued counts.

Counts that were already filed are safe. They live in your venue’s stock ledger, not on the tablet.

Sign out on the tablet

  1. Open Profile from the menu.
  2. Tap Sign out.
  3. Read the Sign out of this venue? message. It tells you how many unsent counts will be lost, if there are any.
  4. Tap Sign out to confirm, or Cancel to go back.

If the tablet was linked by QR, signing out also switches off the tablet’s own key. This is expected. The key cannot be used again.

Switch off a tablet’s key from NOPI

  1. Sign in to app.nopi.app as an owner or manager.
  2. Select the outlet the tablet is linked to.
  3. Go to Settings → Connections → API keys.
  4. Find the tablet by its name and switch its key off.

The tablet then needs linking again before it can file counts. See Device keys.

Scan a new QR code from NOPI. See Link a tablet by QR from NOPI.

Move a tablet to another outlet

You do not need to sign out first. Link the tablet again from a phone that is signed in to the other outlet: in NOPI, open Profile → Link SwiftInventory tablet and scan the code with the tablet.

SwiftPOS and Circona

Signing out of Profile removes the NOPI connection only. SwiftPOS and Circona connections are separate. If NOPI was the ledger for this tablet, choose where counts are filed again in Connections → Counts file to.
